We are working with a leading law firm based in Belfast for a solicitor to join their Major Injury & Casualty team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Major Injury & Casualty team in Belfast, advising insurers and corporate clients on a broad range of defendant litigation matters, including employers’ liability, public liability, occupational disease and serious personal injury claims.
The role will involve managing a varied caseload of litigated claims from initial instruction through to resolution, investigating liability, gathering evidence, liaising with witnesses and medical experts, and developing litigation strategies. The successful candidate will also draft pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements.
- 0-5 years’ PQE;
- Handling fraud and motor insurance litigation;
- Managing a busy caseload independently;
- Advising on complex and high-value insurance claims;
- Negotiating settlements and resolving disputes;
- Liaising with insurers, clients and relevant parties.
