Clinical Negligence Solicitor –

North of England (Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds) is preferable, but role is mostly remote.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to develop and manage a mixed caseload of Clinical Negligence matters ensuring there is a focus on high value cases. In addition to managing a caseload, you will do your own advocacy where appropriate.

As an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will:

• Develop and manage a mixed caseload of Clin Neg matters.

• Market and develop the Simpson Millar Clin Neg department.

• Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm.

• Develop local business to secure referrals.

• Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the Clin Neg Department, to include developing the website business.

• Develop referrals from other established Partners who already refer to Simpson Millar.

• To conduct a high-volume caseload of matters on behalf of clients as directed and in accordance with the Firm’s file management and supervisory policy.

• To maintain a diary and bring up entries in accordance with the firm procedures.

• To work with a case management system, databases and normal office IT systems.

• Detailed knowledge of relevant forms and procedures.

• Compliance with the firms Money Laundering Procedures.

• Compliance with the Data Protection Act.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• A minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience of running a Clin Neg caseload

• Interest and experience in conducting advocacy.

• Interest in and ability to develop links with potential referral organisations.

• Good business development skills.

• Good marketing skills.

• Good knowledge and understanding of Clin Neg work.

• Excellent IT skills.

• Good knowledge and understanding of procedures and protocol.

• Good practical skills, including proven negotiation skills.

• Good personal organisation and ability to adhere to strict time limits.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• The ability to deal with individuals from all walks of life.

• The ability to prioritise work when necessary.

• The ability to provide the highest standards of client care.
