We are working with a market-leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Tax Disputes practice within their London-based office.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join an esteemed Tax Disputes team, acting for a diverse range of high-profile clients on tax disputes and investigations. The candidate’s work will cover contentious across the full range of UK taxes, both direct and indirect, including income tax, CGT, inheritance tax, SDLT, corporation tax and VAT.
The candidate will play a key role in providing supporting to the firm’s global client base in complex tax matters, advising public and private companies, financial institutions, and start-ups. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to get involved in business development initiatives, while maintaining strong connections with the firm’s client base.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-6 PQE;
- Strong background in contentious tax matters within a medium to large international or City firm;
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
