We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their Pensions practice within their London office.
The successful candidate will join a globally ranked Pensions team, advising clients on a range of pensions and retirement benefit plans, with a focus on all aspects of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution occupational pension schemes. The candidate will work on matters such as investment, de-risking (including buy-ins and buy-outs, and longevity swaps), DB consolidators, DC master trusts, and pensions litigation. This role will provide the candidate the opportunity to work with some of the most instrumental bodies within the Pensions industry, including APL, PLSA, SPP, PMI, and the Hundred Group. The candidate will play a key role in the facilitation of development of junior staff members through mentorship, supervision and delegation of tasks.
Essential Criteria
- 4-7 PQE;
- Strong background in Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes within a medium to large international or City firm;
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
