We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join their Catastrophic Injury team within their London office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognised practice, leading and managing complex, high-value catastrophic injury cases, spanning motor, employer's liability, and public liability claims. The candidate will support a range of high-value clients such as large composite and motor insurers, London market insurers, and corporates. The candidate will be expected to handle cases with sensitivity and discretion and demonstrate an understanding of issues of national significance. The candidate will play a key role in cases involving life‑changing injuries, sensitive circumstances, and issues of national significance. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to lead and participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 7+ PQE;
- Strong background in defendant claims handling, including any combination of motor, employer liability, and public liability;
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
