We are working with an esteemed national law firm who are seeking an Associate to join their Private Client practice within their Edinburgh office.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join an esteemed Personal practice team, providing ongoing advice to private clients. The candidate’s duties will include advising on wills, estate and trust administration, powers of attorney, high-value estate planning, tax planning advice, and advising on cross-border tax and succession issues.
The candidate will support a diverse range of teams from across the firm, including family, tax, and real estate, to support clients throughout the complete lifecycle of their objectives. The ideal candidate is English & Welsh/dual qualified, but candidates who are Scots qualified with an interest in dual qualification will also be considered.
Essential Criteria
- 2-5 PQE;
- Strong background in wills, estates, tax and/or Private Client work. Experience in two or more areas highly advantageous;
- Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
