We are working with a top-tier international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Data Privacy team within their Belfast office.
The successful candidate will join a fast-growing global Risk & Compliance practice, advising on data privacy and information security issues affecting the wider firm. The candidate’s duties will include:
- Creating and maintaining a global programme of measures and documentation designed to ensure on-going compliance with privacy laws
- Incident response and remediation
- Dealing with individual rights requests
- Advising on the legal aspects of information security and data management
The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-4 PQE
- Strong background in data privacy and data handling issues within a medium to large commercial firm
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Outstanding academics
- Technically excellent
- Negotiation skills
- Willingness to become involved in business development
- Ability to work independently and as a team
