We are working with a top energy company based in Belfast for a Solicitor to join their In-House Commercial team.
The successful candidate will join an in-house legal team, advising on a broad range of commercial, corporate, procurement, and regulatory matters within a highly regulated energy environment. They will provide practical legal advice on statutory obligations, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, monitor legislative developments, and support strategic projects such as infrastructure upgrades and regulatory submissions. They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation, communicate legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders, and support dispute resolution and corporate governance activities.
Essential Criteria:
- 2+ years’ PQE;
- Commercial law experience;
- Energy sector experience desirable;
- Strong academic background;
- Ability to work on a varied caseload including commercial, procurement, regulation, and planning matters;
- Technically excellent;
- Team player;
- Solutions-focused approach;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Strong commercial awareness.
