We are working with a recent market entrant who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Energy & Renewables team within their Belfast office.

The successful candidate will join a nationally recognised Corporate Energy practice, handling matters such as disposals and acquisitions, joint ventures, co-operation agreements, and profit share arrangements. Responsibilities include project management, assisting and co-ordinating due diligence processes, leading on the drafting and negotiation of all ancillary documentation, and supporting the negotiation of the key transaction documents.

The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong background in renewables and corporate M&A within a medium to large commercial firm;
  • Dual-qualification (within England & Wales or Ireland) highly advantageous;
  • Excellent commercial awareness;
  • Outstanding academics;
  • Technically excellent;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Willingness to become involved in business development;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
