We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Personal Injury team within their Belfast office.
The successful candidate will join an accomplished and ever-growing team, engaging in a range of personal injury claims and coverage matters. The candidate will advise on regulatory matters, defending clients in health and safety prosecutions, and appear at coronial inquiries. The candidate will defend liability actions from catastrophic claims, public liability, and road traffic accident claims, while also advising on professional negligence matters. This role will provide the candidate with the opportunity to work across a diverse range of liability claims, particularly professional liability, financial institutions' liability, directors & officers liability. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria
- 1-3 PQE;
- Strong background in personal injury litigation. Experience in industrial diseases highly advantageous;
- Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
