We are working with a growing and well-established food distribution business based in Belfast for a Management Accountant to join their finance team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager, supporting the production of accurate and timely financial information for the management board. This is a varied role offering exposure across the full finance function, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career.

The position involves:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Producing financial reports and management information
  • Supporting payroll and VAT processes
  • Monitoring stock control
  • Contributing to commercial pricing decisions
  • Assisting with credit control
  • Bank administration
  • Weekly cost analysis across the business

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 12 months' experience within an office administration or finance role
  • Newly qualified AAT or CIMA, or currently working towards qualification
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience within food distribution is desirable but not essential
