A role where the goal is simple: to help every couple escape the ordinary. We are looking for a Wedding and Events Coordinator, or someone ready to grow into the role, to join our team on a maternity cover starting in May. While this is a fixed-term position, there is real potential for it to continue as the business grows.
At Achnagairn, weddings are not one-day events. They are two, sometimes three-day celebrations, and you will be there from the early planning stages through to the final moments of the stay.
About Achnagairn: We are part of Perfect Manors. Not a big, bland hospitality chain, but a small, independent business with a very clear point of view. At Achnagairn Castle in the Scottish Highlands, we host exclusive-use weddings for couples from across the UK and internationally. Alongside that, we run a small number of corporate retreats and private stays, but weddings are our main focus. We create weddings that feel personal, relaxed and true to each couple. “Escape the ordinary” is not a strapline for us; it guides how we plan and deliver each celebration. We work closely with every couple to shape something thoughtful and well considered, without it feeling formulaic, and with the freedom to do things their way. We are a close-knit, hands-on team. Everyone gets involved, and everyone cares about getting it right.
The Role: This is a practical, people-focused role at the centre of the weddings team. You will be the link between the couple, the suppliers and the on-site team, making sure everything is clear, organised and running smoothly.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as a key point of contact for couples throughout the planning process
- Running planning calls and helping couples shape timelines and decisions
- Gathering and organising all final details ahead of each wedding
- Coordinating closely with caterers and suppliers on timings and logistics
- Building and managing detailed plans and schedules
- Being present across the wedding days, keeping everything on track
- Supporting the couple and their guests, particularly during key moments
- Working with the wider team to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience across the stay
About you: Naturally organised, with strong attention to detail. Warm and confident with clients, able to build relationships easily. Comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once. Calm under pressure and able to think on your feet. Happy working evenings and weekends as part of an events role.
For a Wedding Coordinator role, previous experience in weddings, events or hospitality planning is required. For a Trainee role, attitude, energy and a willingness to learn matter more. This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of the action, takes pride in getting the detail right, and wants to play a real part in creating meaningful celebrations. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
