Achnagairn Castle & Estate, Scottish Highlands | Part-time | Inverness or Edinburgh-based or Remote (UK)

We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to help grow the corporate and leisure side of Achnagairn Castle, a five-star, exclusive-use venue in the Scottish Highlands. The role involves introducing Achnagairn to the right audiences, building relationships with agents and partners, and converting those connections into group bookings across retreats, incentive trips, and private stays.

This is a relationship-led role with a clear commercial focus, developing new business and expanding our presence beyond weddings into corporate and leisure markets. While Achnagairn is based in the Highlands, we are open to applicants from across the UK. A proximity to Edinburgh may be beneficial for the type of connections we are looking to build.

At Achnagairn Castle & Estate, our flagship venue in the Scottish Highlands, we host exclusive-use stays across weddings, corporate retreats, incentive trips, and private celebrations. We are not a hotel; every booking is exclusive use, giving clients full privacy and the freedom to shape their stay.

This is a part-time role, approximately two days per week, with flexibility around how those days are structured. It can be based remotely within the UK, with the option to be Edinburgh-based. Regular presence in or easy access to Edinburgh is beneficial for meeting agents, planners, and partners. The role will involve occasional travel to the estate to stay connected to the venue, team, and experience being sold.

This is a proactive, outward-facing role focused on building connections and developing new business rather than responding to inbound enquiries. A big part of this role is helping more of the right people hear about Achnagairn. We are well known for our weddings, but less so for our corporate and leisure offering, and we are looking for someone who enjoys getting out, making introductions, and building awareness in a thoughtful, relationship-led way.

What you will be doing:

  • Building and developing relationships with corporate bookers, travel planners, and partners
  • Using your existing network to introduce Achnagairn to the right audiences
  • Proactively identifying opportunities and converting them into confirmed bookings
  • Presenting Achnagairn as a destination for retreats and group stays
  • Developing partnerships that create consistent, long-term business
  • Supporting messaging and positioning for corporate and leisure audiences
  • Tracking outreach, pipeline, and opportunities in a structured way

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within hospitality, travel, events, or a related sector
  • A track record of developing new business and converting opportunities into confirmed bookings or revenue
  • Confident building relationships and opening doors with corporate bookers, agencies, planners, and partners
  • An existing network of relevant contacts in corporate, travel, or events is highly valuable
  • Comfortable managing a pipeline, from first introduction through to proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of value, pricing, and how to position a premium offering
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to generate your own opportunities rather than rely on inbound
  • Organised and consistent with follow-up, ideally with experience using CRM or similar systems to track activity
  • Able to spend time in or travel to Edinburgh to meet agents, planners, and partners as needed
  • Warm, credible, and professional in how you represent a brand, with a style that aligns to a high-end, relationship-led environment
  • Experience in corporate sales, hospitality, travel, or events is essential.

If you enjoy connecting with people, opening doors, and growing something thoughtfully, we would love to hear from you.
