Recruitment and Compliance Manager @ Achieving for Children
The Intelligence and Improvement Team forms part of AfCs Business Services Directorate. The team works alongside other support service teams to secure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and supports our operational teams through the provision and interpretation of accurate and timely data. The team supports operational teams who provide social care, education and health services to the children and young people across our boroughs. Achieving for Children is based over several locations (Kingston, Richmond and Windsor and Maidenhead). This Intelligence Analyst role will primarily be based in our Twickenham office and will also be able to access home working. Occasional travel to and work in other locations may be required.
This role is for a fixed term 12 months post.
About the role
This Insight Analyst role is a key strategic position designed to drive transformation and future-proof our services. Moving beyond routine reporting, you will be responsible for generating deep, predictive insights that answer why things are happening and what might happen next. This is an influential role where your analysis will directly support major transformation projects (like the new Family Help model), inform policy, and help operational leaders make critical decisions.
- Use historical data to identify trends, predict future service demand, and understand intervention impacts.
- Develop and validate predictive models to support early intervention, forecast demand, and identify what works.
- Act as a data lead to support major transformation work, such as the new Family Help model.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and provide actionable insights.
- Serve as an internal consultant, using data to help leaders ask the right questions and inform strategic practice.

To succeed in this role, you are a highly skilled analyst who is passionate about using data to drive real-world change. You possess a rare blend of expert technical skills in advanced SQL, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, combined with the strategic mindset to translate complex findings into a clear, compelling narrative for senior, non-technical audiences. You are a proactive, inquisitive, and autonomous professional who can manage the full lifecycle of a strategic analysis project, from asking the right questions to delivering actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Expert in statistical analysis to test hypotheses and determine the \”why\” behind trends.
- Predictive Insight: Proven capability in building and validating predictive models to forecast demand and assess intervention impact.
- Data Mastery & SQL: Expert ability to independently query, join, and structure complex, multi-source data using advanced SQL.
- Strategic Visualisation: Mastery of building compelling, intuitive dashboards that translate complex analysis for senior leaders.
- Strategic Communication: Proven ability to present complex technical findings clearly to non-technical managers and executives.
