We are looking for a Schools Finance Team Administrator. Due to a period of maternity leave, the Schools Finance Team are looking to recruit an administrator to support the whole team for a fixed term period of 8 months. This role is offered on a Full-Time basis. The working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Schools Finance Team Administrator will be a key role within the Schools Finance Team. Working as part of a supportive team, the successful candidate will provide all aspects of administrative support to ensure a smooth and effective running of the team. This role would suit a candidate who is capable of acting on their own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, be highly numerate, extremely organised and have excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Providing general administrative support to the School Finance Team
- Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
- Monitoring the generic Schools Finance team email inbox and responding to and resolving queries
- Assisting the finance team with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting procedures
- Assisting with internal and external audit queries
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of finance or schools finance administration is desirable but applications from candidates with other administration experience are also encouraged.
- Experience of working within a busy finance team and managing a mixed workload of ad hoc, regular, month and annual tasks.
- Experience of updating spreadsheets using Google Sheets and Excel.
- Experience of resolving financial administration queries.
- Experience of undertaking financial administration tasks in line with prescribed rules and regulations.
- Experience of maintaining effective partnership working arrangements with key partners and stakeholders, including schools.
