About the role
The aim of SEN transport is to provide specialised home to school transport to children and young people living in the borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond to ensure that children and young people with SEN needs have the same opportunities to education as their peers.
As a D1 Home to School Driver for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring vehicles are fit to purpose
- Ensuring agreed collection, drop of and journey times are met
- Ensuring safety and welfare of all passengers
- To work effectively with the passenger assistant.
About you
To be a D1 Home to School Driver for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:
- Evidence that you put children and young people first
- Evidence that you focus on quality and a high standard of service delivery
- Evidence that you champion inclusion and value diversity
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people
- Experience of working collaboratively.
