We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Proposal Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Proposal Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing high-quality proposals in response to RFx requests. This role requires strong writing, editing, and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Create and deliver customized, high-quality proposals in response to RFx requests (e.g., Due Diligence, RFP, RFI). Work closely with sales teams to understand client needs and objectives, incorporating feedback into proposal development.
- Content Creation: Own content library review cycles, including maintaining review owners and managing expectations with subject matter experts (SMEs). Identify and support ongoing process improvements across teams.
- Process Management: Manage the RFP process by handling RFP requests and maintaining the RFP library. Develop and maintain core RFP content and oversee processes that span Sales, Marketing, Consulting, and Customer Success.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analyse client needs and requirements to tailor proposals accordingly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for proposal content.
- Writing and Editing: Write and edit high-quality, persuasive proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition. Review and edit proposal drafts to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all client and internal guidelines for proposal submissions. Track and report on proposal progress and outcomes to senior management.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in proposal writing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with proposal management software, specifically Loopio.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and their application in proposal development.
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and best practices.
