As a Gardener, you will plan, implement and undertake specific vocational activities in gardening/horticulture as part of the residential programme. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing the highest quality of care and support to the people we support in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, and standards set by the Regulatory Body.
- Supporting the implementation of individual life skills and key skills programmes with particular attention to garden/horticulture vocations or activities.
- Acting as an internal advocate for the people we support, involving them in every aspect of their care.
- Ensuring that risk assessments are in place, up to date, and adhered to in line with company policies and the standards set by the Regulatory Body for all activities.
- Working with and managing upset behaviour, enabling the people we support to develop from needing external control to developing self-control.
- Safeguarding all people within the home and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
