Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health & Safety Partner to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation\’s core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise, guide and coach all personnel with the implementation of the company procedures.
  • Advise on all current occupational H&S and environmental legislation.
  • Contribution to H&S meetings and providing minutes and necessary actions.
  • Produce monthly reports from the health & safety department with regards to company performance.
  • Audits and Inspections of H&S practices to be carried out across the business.
  • Undertake regular reviews of the performance of personnel and contractors meeting standards.
  • Contribute to H&S strategy that encourages innovative approaches to person led safety.
  • Conduct investigation into complex safety and environmental incidents and accidents.
  • Lead on safety improvement through the development and monitoring of action plans.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that enable effective safety decision making.
  • Complete due diligence and support new business and acquisitions though integration planning and support.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a H&S role and demonstrated strong leadership and management within this role.
  • Detailed understanding of safety governance, operational excellence.
  • H&S qualifications.
  • Flexible with working hours to support services, which may require working outside of ‘office hours’ at times with a willingness and ability to travel throughout the organisation.
  • A full driver’s licence and ability to drive is essential for this role.
  • Leading meetings, forums and committees reviewing safety performance.
  • Completing audits and utilising an evidence-based assessment to drive improvement.
  • Regulatory and contract compliance inspections and frameworks.
  • Professional and respectful in how they work with others.
  • Able to constructively challenge colleagues offering expert advice, coaching, mentoring and guidance to improve performance.
  • Agile and adaptable in how to approach working with others to get the best results.
  • Excellent verbal, written and IT skills to ensure accurate and professional records and reports are developed as appropriate.
