We are seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to take ownership of senior engineering recruitment across the UK and Ireland. This is a specialist, non-volume role focused on sourcing highly scarce Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineers for building services consultancies.
You will play a key part in shaping talent strategy, building long-term talent pipelines, and engaging passive candidates who are not actively seeking new opportunities. This position suits someone confident in senior technical recruitment, proactive sourcing, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Recruitment Ownership
- Lead the full lifecycle for senior M&E engineering roles
- Conduct market mapping, direct sourcing, longlisting/shortlisting, and interview coordination
- Manage candidate communication and provide offer support
- Build deep pipelines of senior mechanical and electrical engineers
- Engage passive candidates using LinkedIn, referrals, market research, and direct outreach
- Maintain strong long-term talent relationships
- Develop an understanding of building services engineering roles and regulatory environments
- Assess candidate suitability for senior technical positions
- Hold informed, consultative conversations with senior engineers
- Present opportunities clearly, focusing on culture, technical scope, and career impact
- Advise on sourcing approaches, employer messaging, and recruitment technology
- Recommend improvements to talent attraction in a competitive market
- Work closely with HR and technical leadership
- Provide talent insights, market trends, and realistic hiring expectations
- Degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with varied stakeholders
- Proven experience recruiting senior-level M&E engineers within building services consultancies
