We are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Finance Controller to lead the accounting and administration function within our dealership operations. This is a key role supporting senior management with accurate financial reporting, performance analysis and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of financial processes, compliance with reporting deadlines and maintaining strong internal controls across all areas of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts at both departmental and business-wide levels
- Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis and commentary
- Manage cash flow and ensure adherence to banking agreements and manufacturer schemes
- Oversee dealership assets including debtors, stock, and funding facilities
- Collaborate with management to produce weekly forecasts and annual budgets
- Prepare annual consolidated accounts and support external audits
- Maintain and reconcile accruals, prepayments, provisions, and balance sheet items
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting (PAYE, Social Security, VAT/GST)
- Manage payroll, bonuses, and commissions with accuracy and fairness
- Oversee use of Autoline DMS and related modules (VSB, ledgers, database management)
What We're Looking For
- Experience in automotive finance or dealership accounting
- Strong understanding of KPIs across Sales, Service, and Parts operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Keyloop (Autoline) DMS preferred but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate financial insights clearly
