Family Solicitor / Legal Executive

Location: Redcar, United Kingdom

We are seeking an experienced Family law professional to join our well‑established North East law firm. The role focuses on both public and private matters, with some cases funded via Legal Aid.

Role responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in financial remedy proceedings, including asset division, spousal maintenance, and pension sharing.
• Draft, negotiate, and review consent orders and financial agreements.
• Handle private law cases involving child arrangements (contact and residence).
• Represent clients in disputes concerning parental responsibility, relocation, or specific issue orders.
• Prepare and represent clients in applications for non‑molestation and occupation orders.
• Provide urgent support and advice in domestic abuse situations.
• Work closely with support agencies and police where appropriate.
• Assess client eligibility for Legal Aid and complete funding applications.
• Deliver accessible legal advice to vulnerable clients, often in emotionally complex situations.

Candidate requirements:

• 1+ years PQE
• Legal Aid experience is desirable
• Solid Family Law Experience
