We are supporting a top 10 accountancy firm in their search for a Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Manager to join their team in one of their London offices.
This role offers the chance to lead complex engagements, work closely with senior stakeholders, and play a key role in driving both client outcomes and business growth. You will combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, leading project delivery while developing teams and identifying new opportunities in a dynamic and evolving market. Main responsibilities
- Client Delivery & Project Management
- Lead restructuring and insolvency engagements from inception through to completion
- Manage project delivery, including planning, resourcing, budgeting and stakeholder engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service and outcomes
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex reports, financial analysis and case documentation
- Resolve technical and delivery challenges, escalating where appropriate
- Technical & Risk Oversight
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and professional standards across all assignments
- Apply strong technical expertise to complex cases, including financial modelling and investigations
- Identify and manage key risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation and documentation
- Stay ahead of legislative and market developments, advising clients proactively
- Business Development & Growth
- Build and maintain a strong professional network to generate new opportunities
- Identify and convert business development opportunities across existing and new clients
- Support and lead pitches, proposals and client presentations
- Contribute to achieving team revenue and growth targets
- Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and performance
- Delegate effectively and oversee team output, ensuring quality and consistency
- Support resource planning and contribute to a high-performing team culture
- Play an active role in performance management, feedback and career development
- Operational Excellence
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement across processes and delivery
- Promote the use of technology and innovative ways of working
- Collaborate with colleagues across service lines to deliver integrated solutions
- Maintain strong financial management across engagements, including WIP and billing
Significant experience in restructuring and insolvency within a professional services environment. Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent). Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to lead complex engagements and deliver high-quality outputs. Commercially aware, with experience supporting business development activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
