We are seeking a Residential/Commercial Conveyancer to join a busy legal team based in North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional to take ownership of a varied caseload of residential and/or commercial property work.

You will work within a supportive environment, handling matters from instruction through to completion while ensuring high standards of client service.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage a full caseload of matters from instruction to completion.
  • Conduct all aspects of the conveyancing process, including title investigation, contract preparation, enquiries, and compliance checks.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to progress transactions efficiently and proactively.
  • Draft and review legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, SDLT returns, and Land Registry forms.
  • Ensure files are accurately managed in the firm’s case management system and comply with regulatory requirements (SRA, AML, etc.).
  • Deliver exceptional client care by keeping clients informed at each stage of the transaction and responding promptly to enquiries.
  • Support efficient post-completion processes, including registration with HM Land Registry and handling any follow-up matters.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Candidates ranging from Paralegal level plus will be considered.
  • Proven experience managing conveyancing caseloads.
  • Excellent knowledge of property law, processes, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with a professional and proactive approach.
  • Confident user of case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with commercial conveyancing is also desirable but not necessary.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in North Yorkshire (3 days in office)
