Delyn Recreational Gymnastics in Holywell are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join their team within their club setting. Some daytime / evening / weekend hours TBA.
Duties include:
- Termly coaching programme writing
- Parent / Member communications
- Support Event Coordination
- Create marketing / website content
- Assist in coaching gymnastics sessions
- Assist in delivery of Inclusive and 1-1 sessions
Person Specification:
- Minimum 5 Cs at GCSE must include English and Maths
- Self-motivated and happy to use your own initiative
- Positive attitude to problem solving
- Interest in playing or coaching sports
- Interest in working with children and vulnerable adults
- Driver
- Has competed in a sport
- Has coached a sport
- Good communication and people skills
- Confidence in speaking with and motivating others
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- The ability to stay organised and manage time effectively
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and improving knowledge
- A positive and encouraging attitude when working with gym members
As part of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake a structured training programme that includes:
- On-the-job training – gaining practical experience within the club setting.
- Off-the-job training – attending sessions covering safeguarding, behaviour management, child development, and learning strategies.
- Regular assessments and feedback – to track progress and improve skills.
- Additional learning support – particularly in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
