You’ll have the chance to lead deeply purposeful work, using your teaching expertise to help refugees build confidence and develop vital English language skills, while seeing the real‑world impact of education on people’s lives. What You’ll Be Doing

As our Lead Tutor, you will lead and deliver high‑quality learning programmes that equip refugees with the English language skills and wider qualifications they need to integrate, progress, and thrive. You will design, plan and deliver ambitious, well‑sequenced programmes of learning, primarily focused on English provision, using assessment and feedback to ensure teaching meets individual learner needs and supports strong outcomes. Alongside delivery, you will maintain accurate learner records, assess progress against agreed standards, and support learners to achieve accreditation and move into further learning or employment. As a senior figure within the training team, you will take responsibility for quality assurance and curriculum standards, leading internal verification, supporting tutors and assessors, and embedding continuous improvement across provision.

Additionally, you will:

  • Fulfil the role of Lead Internal Verifier, ensuring robust and compliant IQA systems
  • Lead standardisation activities and provide developmental feedback to tutors and assessors
  • Ensure delivery meets inspection, audit and awarding body requirements
  • Capture and evaluate learner voice and exit feedback to improve provision

  • Experience using funder‑specific CRM systems
  • Knowledge of FE and other employment intervention programmes, including their background and operation
  • Knowledge of internal verification processes
  • A qualification to Level 3 or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • A teaching qualification
  • A lead internal verifier qualification (or the willingness to work towards this in the first 6 months of employment)

The closing date for this role is 12th January 2026.
