Our mission goes beyond individual support; we actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in our society. With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2024, we helped house over 1,400 individuals and provided support to over 500 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.
We are now looking for an Employment & Housing Transitions Lead to join us on a permanent, full‑time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role
As the Employment & Housing Transitions Lead, you will support our tenants and the wider refugee community in Coventry with meaningful, accurate careers advice. With the aim of getting tenants and other individuals into sustainable employment, training, education and/or volunteering situations, you will provide guidance, assess readiness, and enable the people you work with to move from supported to independent living.
A key part of your role will be to work as part of a new initiative, the Transition Housing Project, to get refugees hired, retained and progressed within the workplace. You will work with employers, housing providers and local training providers, building great relationships and supporting positive outcomes for refugees and migrants.
Additionally, managing a caseload of individuals, you will:
- Design and deliver employability workshops and sessions
- Engage with support organisations and employers to speak at workshops/events
- Attend job fairs, stakeholder events, and ACH‑led events
- Act as the point of contact for employers regarding the Transition Housing and Coventry Projects
- Visit, monitor, and oversee individuals whilst in employment
- Maintain records on our CRM system
About You
To be considered as the Employment & Housing Transitions Lead, you will need:
- Experience offering information, advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring or advisory support
- Experience working with refugees, migrants or asylum seekers
- Knowledge of IAG guidelines and frameworks
- An understanding of the local labour market
- A Level 4 Information Advice and Guidance qualification, or willingness to work towards it
