We are looking to appoint a permanent full time (37 hours pw) Trainee Advice Session Supervisor. The role will be based in our Yate Office but will also cover our various outreaches across South Gloucestershire. The starting salary is £31,000 pa.
Ideally you’ll have a minimum of 2 years experience within Citizens Advice. You’ll be looking for a post in which you can make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and poverty. You’ll have a keen interest in and some experience of supporting colleagues in their professional growth and how to develop the skills needed to help clients effectively.
The successful candidate will be resilient, a strong team player, have an eye for detail and great people skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use a range of IT systems are required. The candidate will thrive in a busy environment, have a positive outlook and an understanding and commitment to the aims and principles of Citizens Advice.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily advice sessions to ensure clients receive high-quality, accurate, and timely advice. You will provide support, guidance, and feedback to advice staff and volunteers, ensuring consistently high quality of service and managing the smooth practical running of advice sessions. You will support advisers working across a variety of channels, including face to face, telephone, and web-based channels as needed. This will include remote supervision of outreach advisers.
The role will incorporate a level of providing ongoing training to existing volunteers. You will need to have your own transport as access to all outreaches is required.
