An opportunity has arisen for a full-time appointment in The Widening Participation and Outreach Department (WP & OR), fixed-term until July 2021. The post holder might be accountable for dealing with the Higher Education Outreach Network (HEON), a partnership of local corporations, including universities and schools working in Surrey and North East Hampshire. Through a targeted outreach program, HEON aims to grow the quotes of young people from neighbourhood regions getting access to better education. HEON is funded through the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP), the Office for Students (OfS) strategic initiative.
The post holder will offer complete management support to the HEON vital crew, such as overseeing their work schedules and performance control, overseeing both large and small scale events, and being liable for ensuring that operational plans fully contribute to the achievement of HEON's goals. This supply is in line with the approved Operational Plan.
In addition to the crucial crew, HEON also has officials in partner enterprises, and the HEON Manager will need to oversee this work, with support from the HEON Central Coordinator and line managers in associate enterprises, which will ensure that their work contributes toward the success of HEON's targets and objectives.
The post holder will be accountable for the project's financial management, consisting of reporting to the OfS and HEON Governance, and will lead the writing of NCOP Returns as specified through the OCS. This ensures that the partnership's evaluation is effective and appropriate, with support from the HEON Evaluation and Impact Coordinator.
With relevant professional knowledge and previous experience in line management and project management, the successful candidate could have amazing organizational and communication capabilities and may be capable of demonstrating a strong ability to communicate with and acquire buy-in from a range of various audiences.
