ACES is a pioneering independent provider of NHS ophthalmic care in the community and patient care is at the heart of everything we do. We have been providing NHS eye care since 2005 and will be expanding in 2024 and beyond. We provide a range of services including cataract surgery, YAG laser treatment, glaucoma treatment, oculoplastics and general ophthalmology.

The post holder will contribute to the administrative function, actively assisting the multi-professional team in the provision of a quality service. They will assist in the ongoing administration of the department, booking of appointments/surgery, coordination of the care pathway and management of waiting lists.

  • Liaise with MDT team, local services, patients etc. making and receiving phone calls to schedule patients’ appointments.
  • Undertake all the administration required for patient appointments/surgery; respond to enquiries by telephone or visitors to the service.
  • Undertake general office and clerical tasks, e.g. taking calls, processing referrals, scanning and photocopying.
  • To be the first point of contact for all telephone calls and enquiries.
