We are seeking to appoint a play worker to join our out of school club based at Godmanchester Community Academy. The role involves providing safe, creative, and appropriate play opportunities for children from foundation to Year 6.

Start date: As soon as possible

Date posted: Friday 7th November 2025

Closing date: Monday 8th December 2025 (We reserve the right to close this advert subject to receipt of suitable applicants).

Contract type: Permanent, 13 hours per week (with possible additional hours on Professional days), 38 weeks per year (term time only).

Working pattern: Monday - Friday 07:45 am - 08:45 am & Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 15:00 pm - 17:00 pm

Salary: National Living Wage

Key responsibilities
  • Provide full care and supervision for children
  • Work alongside colleagues to plan, prepare, and organise an appropriate range of activities
  • Liaise with the school and parents/carers
  • Prepare refreshments
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as appropriate
