- Take full on-site responsibility for projects, managing technical, administrative, and commercial elements.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and identifying any shortfalls or risks.
- Develop and maintain programmes of works.
- Produce job-specific method statements and contract plans.
- Liaise with the Plant Department to organise plant requirements and delivery dates.
- Work with the Purchasing team to procure materials for multiple sites.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on progress, variations, costs, extensions of time, and additional works.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor, record, and report progress against programme.
- Review weekly costs and manage project budgets effectively.
- Support the commercial team with weekly valuations and final accounts.
- Embed the Companyβs core values in all decision-making and professional behaviour.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, ideally with geotechnical content.
- Sound understanding of basic engineering principles and techniques.
- Previous experience within the civil engineering or construction industry.
- Experience in piling and foundations is advantageous; mini-piling experience is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
