We are supporting a major infrastructure client in the appointment of an experienced Electrical Construction Manager / Deputy Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale, complex construction programme with a strong focus on electrical systems and installation. This is a senior site-based leadership role, responsible for overseeing all electrical construction activities, managing large multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery of works across a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site electrical construction activities across a major infrastructure programme.
- Take full ownership of electrical installation delivery, ensuring alignment with design, quality, and programme requirements.
- Direct and coordinate large teams (100+ personnel), including supervisors, subcontractors, and construction partners.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all site activities.
- Oversee construction planning, sequencing, and progress tracking for electrical works.
- Manage interfaces between electrical works and other disciplines (civil, mechanical, commissioning).
- Drive productivity and performance on site, resolving issues and removing blockers to maintain programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering designs and ensure constructability on site.
- Lead site meetings, reporting on progress, risks, and key deliverables to senior stakeholders.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are achieved.
- Identify and mitigate construction risks, issues, and non-conformances.
