ACEPP UK is a technical consultancy supporting some of the UK's most significant engineering, infrastructure and nuclear projects. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our team, supporting the delivery of a major UK nuclear programme. This is a senior position within the Integrated Project Controls / Risk function, providing expert risk management and analysis across a complex, multi-billion-pound programme. You will act as a key point of contact for Risk within your assigned programme or project area, working closely with senior stakeholders, project controls teams, contractors and delivery functions to identify, analyse and manage risks and opportunities that could impact project objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the implementation of risk management processes and frameworks across your assigned programme or area.
- Provide high-quality risk insight and analysis to support project and programme decision-making.
- Maintain and assure the quality of Risk & Opportunity data within project risk management systems.
- Lead and support risk reviews, workshops, scenario planning and opportunity assessments.
- Analyse risk data and its relationship with cost, schedule and project performance.
- Challenge assumptions and uncertainties within risk data to support effective prioritisation and decision-making.
- Work closely with Project Controls, Planning, Cost, Estimating and Change teams to ensure risk is properly integrated into the wider project controls environment.
- Engage with Tier 1 contractors to assess contractor-held risks and their impact on programme-level risks and opportunities.
- Produce and present accurate, insightful risk information for programme reviews, senior leadership meetings and project boards.
- Support the development and improvement of risk management processes, reporting and tools.
- Manage and verify information within Power BI risk dashboards, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and technical support to Risk Analysts and Trainee Risk Analysts.
- Lead risk management and risk software training for project teams and wider stakeholders.
About you:
We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical risk expertise with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience working in project risk management / project controls.
- Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Experience working within a large-scale engineering, construction or major projects environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear project insight.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, including Project and Programme leadership.
- The confidence to challenge assumptions and facilitate constructive conversations around risk.
- An understanding of how risk interacts with cost, schedule, change and overall project performance.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities.
- Experience of working within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with ARM, Safran, Power BI and Microsoft Excel would also be beneficial.
