ACEPP UK is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to support one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and construction team, you will act as the technical link between design and site installation, ensuring HVAC systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in supporting installation activities, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring construction progresses in line with project requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a nationally significant nuclear project, gaining exposure to complex HVAC systems while collaborating with industry-leading engineering professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the interface between HVAC engineering and site construction teams to support installation activities.
- Review Field Change Requests (FCRs) and Non-Conformances (NCs), providing practical engineering solutions.
- Deliver timely technical support to resolve site issues and maintain construction progress.
- Coordinate technical information between design, manufacturing, and construction teams.
- Monitor engineering documentation and ensure compliance with quality and project standards.
- Support safe delivery of HVAC installation activities in accordance with project requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience delivering HVAC engineering within the nuclear industry is essential.
- Proven experience and understanding of HVAC installation sequences
- Experience working on large-scale nuclear new build or major nuclear infrastructure projects comparable to Hinkley Point C (HPC), either in the UK or internationally.
- Demonstrable experience supporting HVAC systems throughout installation, commissioning, or construction phases on complex, highly regulated projects.
- Experience reviewing and resolving Field Change Requests (FCRs), Non-Conformances (NCs), and technical queries.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
