Hi! We’re Ace & Tate and we make glasses. Since our start in Amsterdam in 2013, we’re here to inject a good dose of common sense into our industry by making well-designed, quality eyewear accessible to everyone. Great fits that last, for all eyes. Are you ready to make a real impact as an Optometrist (24 hours) in our store in Manchester?
Just ask yourself, are you...
- Cheerful? (Our glass is always half full)
- Committed? (We walk the talk and deliver)
- Accessible? (We are approachable, open-minded, inclusive)
- Straightforward? (We cut the crap)
We’re looking for you if:
- You have a completed degree in optometry;
- You are registered as an optician with the GOC;
- You have a passion for your craft and value quality.
The role of Optometrist:
Our optometrists provide the highest level of eye care and play an integral part in customer experience. Next to conducting quality eye tests, dispensing lenses and adjusting frames to fit perfectly, they also support and train the rest of the team on all things optics. We want our optometrists and our customers to have a great experience with each eye test, so we make sure this is reflected in the way we manage our diaries.
On offer:
- An indefinite contract;
- 28 days holiday entitlement, 30 days after one year of service, and 33 days after two years (based on full time employment);
- No company uniforms, no white coats for opticians; come the way you feel comfortable;
- Regular team events;
- Unlimited access to our internal learning portal;
- Discounts for gym sessions and unlimited, free access to an online psychologist through ClassPass and OpenUp;
- Up to two free pairs of opticals or sunglasses per year and a 20% discount for friends and family.
As a certified B-Corp, we take careful consideration of the impact of the decisions we make at work on the planet & on people. In that way, together, we can continue our goal of becoming a more responsible business.
Ace & Tate is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to nurturing an inclusive environment for all current and potential employees.
