We are currently recruiting for our client, a Law firm with offices across the South. Our client is recognised as one of the leading law firms in the South, with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service and building lasting relationships. As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Legal Accounts Individual to join their busy Finance team. This is a full time permanent role Monday - Friday based in the Salisbury office. Parking is available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in legal finance or a general accounts background who is looking to develop their career within a respected, supportive law firm. You will work within the central Finance team, assisting with a wide range of accounting tasks to ensure the smooth and compliant running of their financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Processing client and office account receipts and payments
- Checking and posting bills, credit notes, and write-offs
- Supporting fee earners with billing queries
- Reconciling bank accounts and dealing with daily banking
- Managing purchase ledger invoices and payment runs
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Handling finance-related enquiries from colleagues across the firm
- Help to develop processes within the Finance
- General administrative duties to support the Finance team
- Numerate, accurate, and highly organised
- Confident with financial systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
- A strong communicator with a helpful, professional approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in a legal finance role (desirable but not essential)
- Familiar with the SRA Accounts Rules (desirable but not essential/training can be provided)
