Ace Solar Energy is a leading installer of Solar PV and battery storage in West Midlands.

Due to our continued success, we are looking for anExperienced Solar Technicianto join our expanding team, reporting to our Installations Manager based in Wolverhampton and working around the West Midlands. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience and hold 18thedition certification.

Applications are sought from experienced electrical team leaders or solar PV technicians.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leading a team (minimum of 3 people)
  • Installation of solar PV, battery storage and car charging points to residential and commercial premises
  • Installing rail and brackets to roof elevations or floor mounting systems
  • Working at heights
  • Commissioning of electrical works on solar panel installations
  • Carrying out all types of electrical work on both residential and commercial premises including maintenance, remedial works and inspection and testing.
  • Completing electrical works for both residential and commercial contracts
  • Completion of associated installation and testing paperwork

EssentialSkills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Part P – NICEIC or similar certifications
  • Trained in working at heights
  • 2 years experience as a fully qualified electrician and solar PV fitting
  • 2 years experience as a team leader
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Fluent English Language
  • Physically fit and manual handling experienced
  • Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Great customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Positive and flexible \”can do\” attitude.
  • Comprehensive awareness of Health & Safety and environmental requirements and processes
  • Hardworking, trustworthy and self motivated individual who possesses a positive can do attitude
  • Strong communication skills in liaising with colleagues as well as direct with clients and customers

Desirable Skills & Experience;

  • Fully trained electrician with current grade ECS card
  • Commercial and Domestic works experience
  • City & Guilds 2381 and 2391 inspection and testing or similar
  • City & Guilds 2399 or 2372 Solar installation (desirable)
