Role Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales, business development, and expanding our market presence within the aquaculture industry. Reporting to the Head of Sales and based in Scotland, you will be responsible for delivering sales and revenue targets within your region. Using knowledge of the market, contacts within the industry, and commercial and negotiating skills, your primary focus will be to sell aquaculture farm products – stunners and biomass cameras.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the aquaculture sector.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts, establish relationships with decision-makers, and drive sales growth through effective account management.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategies, providing monthly sales forecasts/pipeline information for C-Suite that articulates the path to closure/key tactical steps for each account.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, including product demonstrations, training sessions, and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Utilize our defined sales process through HubSpot CRM system integrated with Ace Aquatec’s ERP system for managing and maintaining the sales pipeline.
  • Represent Ace Aquatec at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our products and services and build brand awareness.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum five years of technical sales experience working in aquaculture.
  • Self-starter with a commercial mindset that continuously seeks out new opportunities and thrives in selling and negotiating.
  • Solid experience with MS Office and CRM systems is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Must enjoy traveling and proactively developing and maintaining relationships in markets.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of growing sales within the aquaculture sector. Highly organised and results-oriented, they will be laser-focused on building and maintaining successful relationships with customers and prospects.
