The Role
You will deliver engaging and accessible Science and Maths lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence and help students reconnect with learning. Working within small class sizes and alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to focus on high-quality teaching, relationship building and personalised learning rather than managing large mainstream classes.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching Science and Maths across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
- Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs.
- Building positive relationships that encourage engagement and progress.
- Contributing to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and achievement.
- Working collaboratively with families, pastoral teams and external professionals.
- Supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and aspirations for the future.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Has experience teaching Science and Maths at KS3/KS4.
- Can inspire and engage students who may have previously struggled in education.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has a nurturing, resilient and relationship-focused approach.
- Believes in inclusion and the potential of every young person.
