The Role
- Deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning across a range of Electrical Installation programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful careers within the industry.
- Work within modern workshop facilities, inspiring and motivating learners whilst maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Installation.
- Support learners across a range of vocational and technical qualifications.
- Deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom-based learning.
- Assess learner work and monitor progress against programme requirements.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within workshop environments.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support positive learner outcomes, progression and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
- A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Strong industry knowledge and practical experience within the electrical sector.
- Experience teaching, training, assessing or mentoring learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for supporting learner development and achievement.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS, AET or equivalent).
- TAQA Assessor Qualification, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or A1 Assessor Award.
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
- Previous Further Education, apprenticeship, trainer or assessor experience.
- Experience delivering City & Guilds, EAL or apprenticeship programmes.
