Working alongside experienced teachers, SEN professionals and pastoral teams, you will play a key role in raising attainment, promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will provide high-quality classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and confidently lead whole-class learning when required. This role would suit an experienced HLTA who thrives within inclusive education and enjoys supporting pupils with a range of additional learning, communication and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence when required.
- Lead small group and one-to-one interventions.
- Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment and reporting.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- HLTA Status or significant Higher Level Teaching Assistant experience.
- Experience supporting pupils within Primary, Secondary, SEND or Alternative Provision settings.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- Confident leading learning and covering lessons.
- Passionate about inclusion, safeguarding and pupil well-being.
- Flexible, resilient and committed to helping every learner succeed.
