Engineering Instructor – Electronics & Maintenance Location: Deeside, Flintshire Contract: Full-Time Temp to Perm Start: September We are recruiting for a General Engineering Instructor / Engineering Lecturer to support practical workshop delivery across Electronics, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Maintenance and Bench Fitting at a Further Education college in Deeside. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Engineering Lecturer/Instructor or a skilled industry professional such as a Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer or Engineering Technician who is interested in moving into education. You will work with learners in a practical workshop environment, demonstrating engineering techniques, promoting safe working practices and helping students develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required for employment, apprenticeships or further study. Key Responsibilities * Support and deliver practical Engineering workshop sessions * Demonstrate skills across Electronics, Electrical/Engineering Maintenance and Bench Fitting * Provide practical guidance and support to learners * Demonstrate and promote safe workshop working practices * Help learners develop industry-relevant engineering skills * Maintain a positive, engaging and safe learning environment * Keep up to date with developments and working practices within the engineering sector What We're Looking For * Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline * Recent and relevant engineering industry experience * Strong practical skills within Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance and/or Bench Fitting * Good understanding of engineering workshop practices and health & safety * Ability to communicate practical engineering knowledge effectively * Previous teaching, training, mentoring or apprentice-support experience would be advantageous but is not essential * Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential You do not need to be an experienced teacher to be considered.
