We are currently recruiting an experienced Attendance Administrator to support a Higher Education Centre in London. This is a hands-on administrative role supporting attendance monitoring, student records and data accuracy, working closely with academic teams while systems and processes continue to embed. This role would suit an education administrator with strong attention to detail, confidence working with student data, and experience within HE, FE or school environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, process and maintain accurate student attendance records
- Support data quality checks and reporting relating to attendance, enrolment, withdrawals and interruptions
- Process student withdrawals, interruptions and transfers in line with internal procedures
- Support the Attendance and Intervention Lead to ensure student records accurately reflect the current student population
- Assist with attendance and registration data reporting confirmed to the Student Loans Company (SLC)
- Liaise with timetabling teams and academic staff to ensure attendance data is collected, processed and uploaded accurately
- Maintain up-to-date student engagement data within Staff Advantage or equivalent systems
Skills & Experience Required
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in data
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Proactive and solution-focused approach to resolving attendance or data issues
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team
- Confident and professional when following up with staff to ensure attendance data is submitted on time
- Previous administrative experience within education or higher education (essential)
Qualifications
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent (or demonstrable equivalent professional experience)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Evidence of relevant administrative experience in an education or HE setting
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working with attendance or student records systems (e.g. Staff Advantage, SIMS, Arbor, Tribal, Unit-e)
- Exposure to HE attendance reporting or SLC processes
- Experience liaising with academic or timetabling teams
