Your Pathway to Qualification

Training Contract Pathway
Our unique Training Contract is designed around you and we focus on tailoring your secondments around your preferences both in terms of practice areas and type of organisation.
Accutrainee, as your training establishment, will continually monitor and assess both the work you are conducting, as well as your development throughout your training contract.
Requirements
- A-Level (or equivalent)
- Qualifying law degree/GDL (please apply to us towards the end of your LLB/GDL) or SQE1
- LPC (you can apply to us even if you haven’t completed the LPC)
QWE Pathway
With the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, aspiring solicitors will need to complete two SQE assessments along with two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) to qualify as solicitors.
We can offer you interesting and challenging placements as part of your QWE that offers high quality legal work and excellent levels of responsibility. During the time you are with us you will be offered mentoring and support from our expert team of mentors and graduate team.

- SQE Part 1 (our clients will want you to have some level of legal training and so if you haven’t completed an LLB degree or GDL, we are more likely to be able to place you once you have passed SQE Part 1)
Duties And Responsibilities
Depending on your personalised plan you may complete a mix of contentious and non-contentious placements with us. Candidates will have opportunities to develop different practice skills and gain the valuable experience needed to prepare them for qualification.
We do know each trainee receives high levels of responsibility as they are placed only when there is a genuine need for their help in the team. Trainees need to be ready to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to become valuable members of the teams they work in knowing they can rely on an enhanced support system as well as mentoring to guide them every step of the way.

We are looking for candidates with strong intellectual, analytical and problem‑solving skills, good communication and organisational skills with the ability to demonstrate resilience, commercial awareness, teamwork, a passion for law and dedication to succeed.
Any mitigating circumstances will be considered during the selection process.
Accutrainee Scholarship Programme
By applying for this role, you will have the opportunity to be considered for the Accutrainee Scholarship Programme. The programme aims to break down barriers to the legal profession by welcoming applications from underrepresented groups and candidates from less advantaged backgrounds.
If you choose to apply for the Scholarship Programme, we will assess your eligibility during and after the selection process.
Sponsorship Eligibility
We evaluate personal history, achievements, and financial or socio-economic circumstances, including any exceptional challenges faced.
If you successfully complete the trainee solicitor selection process and are eligible for the Scholarship Programme, Accutrainee will seek trainee secondment opportunities for you. If you secure an Accutrainee secondment and begin your training contract/QWE, Accutrainee will cover the costs of your SQE assessments. We will also discuss with you funding towards your LPC if you have chosen the training contract route to qualification.

When to apply?
We are continually recruiting and do not have deadlines. Our secondments can start at any time throughout the year. Most candidates apply either towards the end of their LLB degree or after completing the GDL, LPC or SQE Part 1.
