We are currently looking for paralegals with experience in pre-claim disputes and Small Claims Court litigation. Opportunities may be offered on a fixed-term, interim, or longer-term basis, depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload of pre-action and Small Claims Court matters from initial assessment through to final resolution.
- Conducting legal research and providing practical analysis on litigation and consumer-related disputes.
- Drafting, reviewing and submitting legal correspondence, statements of case, witness statements, and court applications.
- Representing clients at Small Claims Court hearings, providing clear, structured, and persuasive advocacy.
- Maintaining accurate case records using internal case management systems.
- Liaising with internal business stakeholders to gather evidence, technical information, and documentation relevant to ongoing cases.
- Handling escalated disputes referred internally or by customers and their representatives.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with applicable legal requirements, procedural rules, and internal policies.
- CILEX Litigation qualification (Paralegal or equivalent).
- Litigation practice rights as authorised by the relevant regulatory body.
- Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, particularly those applicable to Small Claims.
- Experience of Small Claims Court litigation in England & Wales, including advocacy.
- Understanding of consumer protection law, contract law, and related principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive documents.
- The ability to manage a demanding workload independently, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- A strong ethical approach and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

- A law degree or equivalent (LLB, GDL, SQE1) is beneficial and may open up additional opportunities with some clients.
