We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join one of our clients on a 6 month contract via Accuflex. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of data protection compliance and help shape best practice across the business. You will work closely with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure the organisation meets its obligations under UK GDPR. A legal qualification is not essential, but a solid grounding in data protection and hands-on experience building or maintaining privacy frameworks is important.
What you will be doing:
- Designing or strengthening internal data protection frameworks
- Advising stakeholders on UK GDPR obligations and best practice
- Managing and responding to data subject access requests (DSARs)
- Supporting the business in assessing and responding to potential data breaches
- Working with internal teams to embed privacy by design across products and processes
- Drafting and reviewing privacy notices, policies, and data protection agreements
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a data protection or privacy-focused role
- Experience working as a Privacy Officer, DPO, or in a similar capacity
- Confidence in managing regulatory obligations, operational processes, and risk
- Able to balance commercial needs with compliance requirements
- Comfortable working independently or in a cross-functional team
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
