Healthcare systems are struggling; our solution is communication. We have a bold vision: everyone involved in a patient’s care - including the patient - should be able to communicate easily with each other. And we believe every NHS staff member should be using our software to make that happen. We want to make healthcare genuinely better. We are solving one of the biggest challenges of our generation, and to do this, we need the best talent possible to help us raise the bar.

Our products are used daily by over 98% of GP practices and half of NHS hospitals, impacting millions of lives. Your role will be mission-critical and you will be central to shaping the core communication infrastructure of the NHS.

This role is primarily based in our London office, with typical hours from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday to Friday.

The Unique Challenges You’ll Solve

  • Bridging the gap between culinary creativity and operational excellence - taking ownership of administration, food safety, and budget, partnering with our current Chef to focus on the food.
  • Driving 100% accuracy in dietary labelling and HACCP log completion - maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
  • Translating all creative menus into practical, fully labelled, and accurately costed realities - auditing them for nutritional balance and comprehensive dietary coverage.
  • We run a fully nut free kitchen and follow a pescatarian menu.

What We’re Looking For

We need a Chef who embodies our Principles and thrives on significant challenges. We’re seeking the core skills below, coupled with a mindset ready for real impact.

Core Skills We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for Food: A genuine excitement and appreciation for food that aligns with our culture.
  • Versatility: A fully qualified chef who is equally comfortable providing hands‑on support in the kitchen or managing operations at a workstation.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to allergen labelling and compliance with UK food safety legislation.
  • Process Oriented: Proven experience using digital tools for efficient stock taking, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Budgetary Control: Ability to organise procurement and keep food and beverage spend within monthly targets.
  • Health & Safety Mastery: Dedication to maintaining rigorous kitchen safety records, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules.
  • Stock Management: Expertise in ordering, rotation, and ensuring zero "out of stock" incidents for essential items.

Our Principles in Action

  • Fix healthcare communication: All of our efforts are centred here.
  • Raise the bar: We have built an exceptional team to solve hard challenges.
  • Be a driver, not a passenger: We make things happen, focus on the right problems, and bring the energy to deliver ambitious goals.
  • Succeed together: Our mission is too important for anything less, so company success always comes first.
  • Move with urgency: We’re on a mission, and every day lost is a missed opportunity to improve lives.
  • Be relentlessly resourceful: We embrace constraints as they force us to think differently, be creative, and focus.
  • Embrace challenge: We value constructive conflict over harmony, having tough conversations for the best outcome.

What We Can Offer

We believe in supporting our team to do their best work, and thrive both professionally and personally.

  • £32,000-£42,000 salary + £14,500 share options.
  • Access to Happl - a flexible benefits provider with a given budget of £400 to spend on perks of your choice.
  • Flexible Working: We are an office first culture and ask you are in at least 3 days a week.
