Accurx is solving healthcare productivity for the NHS. For decades, the NHS has struggled with fragmented systems that make simple tasks feel impossible. At Accurx, we’re changing that by building a single, system-wide platform that helps every patient get gold-standard, efficient, and joined-up care. What started as a way for GPs to text a patient has now evolved into an all-in-one digital toolkit used by 98% of GP practices. Our platform now powers Total Triage to manage patient demand, and Self-Book, which lets patients schedule their own appointments in seconds. We’ve automated routine care with Patient Questionnaires for long-term conditions, while Accumail finally allows staff-to-staff communication to happen instantly across different care settings. We’re now pushing the boundaries of the consultation itself with Accurx Scribe, our AI-powered note-taker that drafts medical notes in real-time. We’re not just shipping features. We’re giving clinicians their time back and ensuring every patient journey is as smooth as it should be.
As our Business Development Lead for the North, you will act as a high-impact player‑coach leading our mid‑market SME sales strategy across primary care networks, GP practices, and federations. You’ll balance hands‑on selling and revenue generation with building and coaching a high‑performing outbound sales team as we launch exciting new products across the region. Please note: while this role is based in London, travel throughout the North of England will be required.
The challenges you’ll solve as a Business Development Lead – North:
- Building an outbound sales machine: Establishing structured, high-volume mass cadences and buyer-signal-based strategies to scale mid-market SME adoption across the North.
- Leading as a player‑coach: Closing your own key target deals while setting direction, coaching, and developing a team of BDAs and BDMs to hit team revenue targets.
- Driving new product growth: Unlocking expansion opportunities across our growing product suite, including Scribe.
- Data‑driven market mapping: Utilising platforms, complex datasets, and spreadsheets to analyse market opportunities, forecast pipelines, and convert data into clear commercial priorities.
- Ground‑level user engagement: Attending webinars, regional events, and speaking directly with primary care stakeholders to stay close to market needs and lead by example.
- Leveraging cutting‑edge AI tools: Integrating AI tooling (such as Notion AI) into your team's workflow to capture customer insights, refine audience segmentation, and automate sequence tasks so your team spends more time with users.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Partnering closely with marketing, the wider BD team and our Customer Success team to drive seamless deal conversion and wider regional growth.
You should apply if...

- You have high‑velocity outbound expertise: You have hands‑on experience running structured outbound cadences, converting high‑volume pipelines, and executing mid‑market sales motions at scale.
- You're fluent in data: You are highly proficient with spreadsheets, platforms, and complex data sets, able to turn raw figures into clear operational decisions and compelling customer pitches.
- You know how to forecast: You possess strong target-setting and pipeline forecasting capability, bringing commercial clarity to your team’s plan.
- You thrive in pace and getting stuff done: You bring a driver mindset, moving with urgency and resourcefulness to build repeatable processes in a fast‑changing startup environment.
