Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets across air, road, sea, and special transport services.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, particularly in specialised sectors such as hazardous, military, project, and Ro‑Ro cargo.
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, leveraging an established network to generate leads and close deals.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals tailored to client needs, including charter, OBC, NFO, general cargo, dedicated vehicles, part/co‑loads, FCL/LCL, IMDG, and customs services.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the transport and logistics industry.
- Oversee contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and service‑level agreements to ensure competitive advantage and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on regulatory changes, global trade policies, and industry best practices, especially for hazardous and special cargo.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development within the transport and logistics sector, focusing on multimodal freight solutions.
- Demonstrated success in new business acquisition, account management, and strategic solution selling, especially for specialised and high‑value cargo.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; proven ability to close complex deals and manage long‑term client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant logistics software.
- In‑depth knowledge of customs procedures, hazardous cargo regulations, and international trade compliance.
- Established network of clients and industry contacts within the transport and logistics sector.
